Kampagne „Blickwechsel 2017“: Engagement Global unterstützt den Süd-Nord-Austausch

Um den Süd-Nord-Austausch realisieren zu können, braucht Go Ahead! starke Partner. Der Verein wird unter anderem durch finanzielle Mittel von Engagement Global unterstützt. Die Agentur hat knapp 7.500 Euro zur Verfügung gestellt, mit denen ein Großteil der Kampagne umgesetzt werden kann.

Damit neun Mitarbeitende aus südafrikanischen Organisationen, mit denen Go Ahead! seit Jahren erfolgreich zusammenarbeitet, nach Deutschland kommen, mit Vereinsmitgliedern durch die Republik fahren und sich über die gemeinsame Arbeit im Bildungsbereich austauschen zu können, braucht es nicht nur eine gute Vorbereitung. Go Ahead! muss den Süd-Nord-Austausch auch finanziell stemmen. Um die Durchführung der Kampagne zu gewährleisten, bewarb sich der ehrenamtlich arbeitende Verein bereits im vergangenen Jahr um Fördermittel von Engagement Global. Im Rahmen des Förderprogramms Entwicklungspolitische Bildung (FEB) vergibt die Agentur des Bundesministeriums für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) Gelder für Projekte, die entwicklungspolitische Informations- und Bildungsarbeit umsetzen.

Engagement Global stellt dem Verein insgesamt 7.446 Euro zur Verfügung, die unter anderem für die Übernachtung der südafrikanischen Gäste in Deutschland und die Veranstaltungen während der Kampagne genutzt werden. „Wir freuen uns riesig über die Zusage der Fördergelder und die Unterstützung durch Engagement Global. Es ist das größte Budget, das uns bisher seitens der Bundesregierung zugesichert wurde“, sagt Anne-Marie Parth. Die Vorstandsvorsitzende von Go Ahead! hatte den Antrag zusammen mit Johanna Reimers gestellt. Die jungen Frauen kümmern sich federführend um die Organisation der Kampagne.

Daneben wird die Kampagne von der Organisation „Brot für die Welt“ unterstützt. Sie hat dem Verein 2.000 Euro zugesichert, mit denen ebenfalls Veranstaltungen während des Austausches verwirklicht werden. Den restlichen Beitrag finanziert Go Ahead! aus eigener Tasche. „Dank zahlreicher Spendenaktionen unserer Hochschulgruppen und privaten Spenden konnten wir die Süd-Nord-Kampagne finanziell auf sichere Füße stellen“, sagt Anne-Marie Parth.
